A public meeting will be held in Big Sky on Monday, April 22 to provide an update on the Gallatin River impairment listing. The Montana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) listed the middle segment of the Gallatin River, from Yellowstone National Park to Spanish Creek, as impaired in 2023 for excessive algal growth due to exceeding established thresholds for algae (ARM 17.30.637(1)(e)). Join the DEQ and Gallatin River Task Force to learn about recent monitoring results and next steps.
The hybrid meeting will be held in Big Sky and via Zoom at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 22, 2024.
