Last fall we completed a restoration project on the Middle Fork, one of the imparied sections of the West Fork of the Gallatin River. We mimicked beaver activity to help repair the floodplain and increase wetland habitat, which has all sorts of benefits to the Gallatin River watershed. Come check out the site with us to learn more about why beaver activity is so important to our environment, and the model of our streamside restoration work.
