Task Force Supporters Made a “Big” Impact

3,678+ Donors raised $678,000+ for 168 Organizations in 24 Hours for Gallatin Valley Non-Profits!

Thank you from the Gallatin River Girls!

Thank you to the forty donors who raised $8,735 to support a healthy Gallatin River for future generations on May 4th and 5th, 2017 during Give Big Gallatin Valley. The Gallatin River Task Force was the 21st of 168 nonprofit raising funds in Gallatin County.

Give Big Gallatin Valley is a 24-hour day online and live celebration of giving hosted by the Bozeman Area Community Foundation. The day of giving seeks to connect people who care to causes that matter to build a better community. The Gallatin River Task Force has been a part of Give Big Gallatin Valley since its inception in 2015.

Jon Holtzman, a founding board member of the Gallatin River Task Force, kicked off the day of giving for the Gallatin River Task Force.

Jon, intimately aware of the humble beginnings of the Gallatin River Task Force, glowed on the Give Big Gallatin Valley website, “the Gallatin River Task Force, because of its dedicated leadership and volunteers, has become one of the most successful and most recognized water stewardship groups in the state of Montana”.

A healthy mix of long-time supporters, like Jon, and new Friends of the Gallatin contributed to the success of the Task Force during Give Big Gallatin Valley.

Due to a flurry of mid-afternoon donations, the Task Force won the Modern Woodsmen of America’s County Celebration Power Hour for being the participating nonprofit located in the communities of Manhattan or Gallatin Gateway that raised the most money between 11 AM and 12 PM on May 5th.

All money raised during Give Big Gallatin Valley will ensure the Gallatin River flows with cold, clean, and abundant water, now and forever.

Thank you again for your support of the Gallatin River Task Force!

The Task Force celebrated in a BIG WAY with the generous help of many individuals and businesses! We want to give a huge shout out to Lone Peak Cinema, Big Sky Western Bank, and Lone Peak Brewery for hosting Donor Lounges for the event. And of course, none of this would be possible without the organization and coordination of the Bozeman Area Community Foundation, who are working tirelessly to cultivate a culture of giving and philanthropy in Gallatin Valley.

But at the end of the day, we raise a toast to YOU, the people who gave to the Gallatin River Task Force, through Give Big Gallatin Valley. Cheers to you! May your fish be big, your rapids bigger, and the Gallatin River be healthy for future generations.
