Voice of the River

Task Force Voted the Best Nonprofit in Big Sky

The Gallatin River Task Force was named the Best Nonprofit in Big Sky in an annual Explore Big Sky poll.

Monitoring, improving, and enjoying the Gallatin River — that’s what we do!

According to Explore Big Sky, the Task Force has, “a tough line to walk: How does Big Sky accommodate growth without degrading one of the natural resources that brings people here in the first place?” But we must be doing something right…

The Task Force worked hard in 2016 to leave a legacy of healthy rivers for future generations. Thanks to incredible community partners, we’ve taken on some exciting new projects.

Strong support from the community facilitated projects like the Big Sky Sustainable Water Solutions Forum, Big Sky Water Conservation Program, West Fork Restoration Project, and watershed monitoring following the March effluent pond spill.

Thank you for honoring the Task Force with your support. We’re looking forward to serving as the voice of the River in 2017.
