Help us kick off our latest restoration project at Greek Creek campground and river access site. The Gallatin River Task Force and US Forest Service need your help cutting willows, a prolific plant species often found on river edges, to build a bioengineered streambank. This feature will provide bank stabilization, fish and wildlife habitat, and a strong riparian buffer to help filter out pollutants before they reach the Gallatin.
All volunteers will meet at the Greek Creek Campground off of Route 191. Work will be conducted on the river side of the campground
What to bring: Work shoes (work boots, hiking shoes, muck boots, etc.), long pants, sun protection, water/water bottle, work gloves (optional), shears/loppers (optional)
Gallatin River Task Force provides: water refill, work gloves, all necessary tools, snacks
