Join us September 20-22 to clean up our community watershed! Volunteers can sign-up as a team or individually to pick up trash along the Highway 191 river corridor and along streams throughout the Big Sky community. Removing trash from rivers, streams, and the surrounding land positively impacts water quality, wildlife habitat, soil quality, as well as our downstream neighbors.
Where to meet: Team leaders, teams, and individuals will meet at the Big Sky Community at Park 25 Seeway Rd, Big Sky, MT 59716 to check in and pick up supplies before heading out to pre-assigned river section. If you or your team has not received a location, please meet us at the Big Sky Community Park. See this map for river section details.
What to bring: Wear comfortable walking shoes and bright or colorful clothing, and bring a water bottle. Gallatin River Task Force will provide trash bags, a limited number of gloves, buckets, high visibility vests, trash pickers, and snacks.
Win Prizes! The volunteer or team with the strangest item picked up will have the opportunity to win a prize! Additionally, all volunteers will be entered into a raffle for a prize basket worth $1,000 as part of our No Empty Nets partnership!
