Calling all Members!
Join us for our last site tour of the summer along the banks of the Middle Fork! In 2020, the Task Force partnered with Trout Unlimited and Big Sky Resort to restore a stretch of the Middle Fork below Lake Levinsky, using low-tech-process-based restoration (LTPBR) techniques, which are designed to mimic natural processes and provide restoration benefits over time. Join the Task Force as we tour this restoration site five years after its implementation to learn about LTPBR, wetlands, and reconnecting floodplains. Stick around afterwards for drinks!
What is the Catch the Drift! Site Tour Series?Â
Catch the Drift! Site Tour Series is exclusively for Gallatin River Task Force members, designed to showcase the on-the-ground impact their support has. Hear directly from local leaders, scientists, and the people behind the ongoing efforts to keep water clean and available in Big Sky, including community efforts to protect and restore the Gallatin River.
