The community is invited to the official launch party of Alpenscapes, a collaborative Big Sky initiative designed to promote native and sustainable landscaping to reduce wildfire risk, decrease water use, and conserve native species. Alpenscapes was formed by four existing Big Sky organizations — Big Sky Fire Department, Big Sky SNO, Gallatin River Task Force, and Grow Wild — who came together to create a go-to resource in Big Sky for encouraging alpine-appropriate landscapes that are collectively appealing, fire-safe, water-wise, and ecosystem-friendly.
Join us at Crail Gardens at the Historic Crail Ranch on Monday, July 8, 4 – 7 pm, to learn more and celebrate this new community resource.
The launch party will feature Alpenscapes specialty cocktails, refreshments, light fare, lawn games, and giveaways including wildflower and native grass seed packets. Attendees will also have a chance to sign up for free site visits, available to community members’ residential or commercial properties. This event is free and open to all.
