Retirement Account Beneficiary
Since money in a retirement account (like a 401(k)) is considered taxable income to individual beneficiaries after life, some people choose to list an organization or donor advised fund to provide some tax relief. To do this request a change of beneficiary form from your retirement account holder and contact Gallatin River Task Force Director of Development, Isabella Vendramin.
Charitable Gift Annuities
A charitable gift annuity is a contract between the Task Force and a donor to pay a fixed dollar amount for the lifetime of one or more individuals. The contract is issued in exchange for a contribution, and the remainder of that contribution stays with the charity at the completion of the contract. Annuities take many forms and are customizable through tools such as deferred start dates and the addition of up to two annuitants. Charitable gift annuities with the Task Force are administered in partnership with a local community foundation (One Valley Community Foundation, Montana Community Foundation, etc.)
